Holiday Music Programs Showcase Student Talent

North Washington students, staff, and families were treated to some wonderful music that got everyone in the holiday spirit this past week!  On Thursday, 3rd-5th grade students performed the winter musical, “Bring On the Snow!” under the direction of  Mrs. Pam Nicholas.  On Friday, North Washington and Washington County Middle School band students, under the direction of Mr. Scotty Burns, shared their fine musical talents with a packed house!  Click for more pictures!…


Jr. Beta Students Build a Robot

Middle school Jr. Beta students have been working hard to build a robot!  Students will have to build and program the Lego EV3 to perform certain tasks for the Jr. Beta convention robotics competition on February 1st.  A video of the final outcome will be posted later!     


Mobile Dairy Classroom Visits North Washington

The Mobile Dairy Classroom was a great real-world learning experience for all of our students! Students from Preschool to 8th Grade got to see Jett the Jersey cow and Megan Bailey with Southland Dairy Farmers. They learned about milk production, nutrition, dairy cattle, farm operations, and careers in the agricultural industry.

7th Grade ELA Classes Make a Case for Recess

Mrs. Carney’s 7th grade students have been applying their argumentative writing skills by writing a letter to our school SBDM Council arguing whether students should have recess. They have utilized argumentative appeals, claims, and counter-claims, and also practiced their peer revision skills by helping each other improve their writing.
