Band Members Compete in KMEA Fourth District!

Congratulations to our middle school band members who competed at the KMEA Fourth District Large Ensemble Assessment!  This competition is open to all high school and middle school bands and orchestras in the region.  Each group performed on stage for a panel of three judges.  This is only the second year for our middle school band to compete.  Both years, they have received a Distinguished rating from all three judges! …


Preschool Students Learn about Community Helpers

Last Friday, preschool students at NWES who have been learning about community helpers, chose their favorite community helper and dressed up like them and also brought tools associated with that job. They walked the red carpet to model their attire.
