The Bookmobile is Coming!

WCES students will have the opportunity to visit the Washington County Public Library Bookmobile once per month.  All they need is a library card!  Students will be bringing home applications for library cards, or you can get one at the new public library, located on Main Street in Springfield.  If your child already has a library card, they just need to bring it with them on bookmobile day.   This is…

First and Second Grade Fall Literacy Night

First and Second grade students and their families attended Literacy Night at WCES last night.  Students and teachers came dressed as their favorite book character.  They participated in pumpkin seed counting, fall dancing, story time, math games, and the book fair while parents met with teachers to discuss their child’s progress.  Students earned rewards and a great time was had by all!  Watch the website and social media for information…

PTO Fundraiser

WCES PTO is excited to host the annual fundraiser: Market Day Pies, Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough, and more! Packets will come home tomorrow September 29th, and are due back by Thursday October 20th. Items ordered will be ready for pick up before Thanksgiving break. This is an easy way to get ready to go desserts for your Thanksgiving table!

Fall Into Literacy & Math Night

WCES will host Literacy and Math Night for 1st and 2nd grade students and their families on Monday, October 10th from 5:30-6:30pm. Students are invited to dress up as their favorite story book character and participate in fall activities. Parents are invited to meet with their child’s teacher to discuss their progress.

KONA ICE is coming!

Kona Ice will be here on Thursday, September 29th.  All money for Kona Ice must be turned in by Wednesday the 28th by 2:00pm.  Please send exact change in an envelope or baggie with their name, grade, and homeroom teacher.  To save time and money and to reduce waste, students in grades K-2 will only be allowed to purchase a small size which is $2.00, and students in grades 3-5…
