“We Read…” Winners Announced

As an incentive to participate in our reading initiative, which we call “We Read…”, we have a drawing each semester based on students’ success of meeting the program requirements.    Each week, students take home a reading log.  Depending on the student’s grade level, there is a designated number of minutes students are asked to read EACH week outside of school.  At the end of the week, students complete a classroom…


Important Announcements for the Week of May 15th-18th

Good evening! We have 3 very important messages for all WCES students and families. First, we have had a very successful week. We appreciate the focus of our students in 3rd through 5th grades while taking the K-PREP assessment and our K-2 students for their focus on staying quiet during instruction and transitions and being flexible with the changes to our Specials and lunch schedules. Kindergarten Students Blow MAP Assessment Away!

Students in Mrs. Chasity Smith and Mrs. Barbara Myers co-taught Kindergarten class were rewarded for their achievements on the MAP Assessment with bubbles!  They thought this was a great way to celebrate their success!  Way to go Kindergarten!
