(Springfield, Ky.) – The Washington County School District, in partnership with other Washington County governmental agencies, will be hosting a community-wide forum on school safety on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Washington County High School gymnasium. Items to be discussed at the event include current strategies being utilized, safety ideas, suggestions and concerns. Guest facilitators will include Loren Carl, U.S. Marshal and retired police veteran and Boyd Randolph, training facilitator for the Kentucky Association of School Administrators. Also present will be Dan Orman, training coordinator with the Kentucky Center for School Safety. All parents and community members are invited to attend.

“This forum is being planned as a way for the community of Washington County to work together to address the recent rise in school violence,” says Dr. J. Robin Cochran, Superintendent of Washington County Schools. “The session will be a proactive way to discuss current strategies, as well as opportunities for improvements.
