Fall is in the air!  As we prepare for fall break to begin in a few days, it is a great time for reflection.  We have had a wonderful start to the school year!  Students and staff are working hard and WCHS is going to accomplish great things this year!

Homecoming week was a success as everyone participated in the theme days.  The football team had a great homecoming victory and Kyle Schrader and Madison Whitaker were crowned King and Queen.  Congratulations to Madison, Kyle and all of the Homecoming court attendants!  The dance that followed the game was also a success!

Fall sports are in full swing as well.  The volleyball team competed in the All A State Tournament for the fourth year in a row!  We were the runner up in the consolation bracket!  Congrats girls!  The football team is currently 5-1 heading into district play.  Great job guys!  The golf team recently finished sixth in the region.  Keep up the good work!  Cross country is competing weekly in meets until the regional contest in October.  Keep running hard!

Clubs are gearing up and participating in a variety of activities.  FCCLA has hosted several events and is participating in a state event to raise awareness about sepsis.  Thanks everyone to contributing to such a worthy cause!

Fall break will begin Friday.  Everyone enjoy the break!!
