My name is Mickenzie Vincent, and I am the 3rd grade Social Studies and Science/ 5th grade Social Studies teacher here at WCES on the Hill. I am SO excited about this year and what all we have planned for your child! Just know if you ever need help with anything just give me a message on Remind (Sign up for your homeroom for messages designed specifically for your student), or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. This year we will have something a little different, such as: Facebook and Instagram pages (Please follow @Ms.WellsSocialStudiesScience for information about what your child is learning :)), Weekly Social Studies Newsletters to let you know what is due and what is coming up, as well as visible lessons and Power Points! I am so excited to try these different ways of helping you stay informed and your child motivated, so please if you are having trouble with any of these fill free to contact me and I will do my best to help!
Just a little about myself:
I am originally from Lawrenceburg Kentucky (Anderson County)!
I love Ale8 and could live off Chocolate!!!!!
My favorite subject in school was ALWAYS Social Studies (mainly history/ WWII) and Science!
This will be my second year teaching and at WCES I have loved every moment of it so far!
I graduated, with high honors on May 14, 2016 from Kentucky State University with a degree in Elementary Education!
I have worked with kids (teaching, babysitting, subbing) since my oldest cousin was born when I was 12 years old.
As of September 30, 2017 I was no longer called Ms. Wells, but Mrs. Vincent!!
I have aided/observed (non-paid) for a little over 500 hours, in over 10 schools and with over 60 highly educated and experienced teachers in the state of Kentucky in my 4 years of college.
I have subbed for Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg, while in high school and college, for over 5 years, including a long term position as a computer teacher.
I student taught with 1st and 4th grade students at an elementary school in Anderson County.
Last year I taught 5th grade Social Studies, here at WCES, and I am super excited to continue my journey here, with another great bunch of students and faculty 🙂
