North Washington’s entire student body rallied together on Friday in preparation for the upcoming KPREP testing week. The eighth grade class continued the tradition of performing a dance number with unique stunts and feats, leading up to a special guest performance by American Idol finalist, Layla Spring, who shared the spotlight with her younger sister, Dixie, to round out the celebration. Students in Mrs. Johnson’s class used Popsicle sticks and masking tape to construct bridges, and then connected these concepts to language arts and life as part of a fun STEM activity.
NWES Preschool classes have been learning about transportation this week. Mrs. Stephanie Casey and Mrs. Heather Roution operated a very fun and educational car wash as part of their transportation unit. The students had a great time getting their cars dirty in paint and then washing and drying them off!
