Child Abuse Prevention Month Awareness

North Washington Staff is proud to support Child Abuse Prevention Month – a time when we raise awareness, promote and teach appropriate parenting skills, and educate children on their right to be safe.

This month, students at North Washington were given the chance to sign and keep their own “Pledge of Hands,” proclaiming they will use their hands for helping and not for hurting.

We have also planted pinwheels in front of the school as the blue pinwheel symbolizes happiness, and is the national symbol to raise awareness about the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
