A Celebration of Music!

North Washington celebrated the season with music this past week!  Directed by Mr. Scotty Burns, middle school students filled the gym with festive numbers on Thursday, Dec. 14th.  Then, the following day, students in grades K-3 performed their musical production of “Toys!” for the school, led by Music Teacher, Mrs. Pam Nicholas.  Preschool students also sang Christmas songs in front of the whole school.  The program ended with a signed version of “We Wish…


PTO, Pies, and Pow!

North Washington students and families sold a total of 604 pies to raise funds for NW!  This is a major fundraiser for PTO.  PTO uses all monies raised to benefit all NW students in the form of reduced costs for field trips, projects and supplies, among many others.  We are very thankful for our generous PTO.  Top sellers from each grade level got to “pie” Mr. Hudson, who was a…


St. Jude Math-a-Thon

North Washington students raised $1189.60 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital through their St. Jude Math-a-Thon!  Pictured are the top earners with Mrs. Mattingly and Ms. Kephart, who agreed to have their hair colored as part of the celebration.  Thank you to all who worked so hard to raise money for this very worthy cause!

Safe Schools Week

In honor of Kentucky Safe Schools Week, Oct. 17-21, NW students and staff showed their spirit all week!  From Superheroes to Camo, each day had its own safety focus with a dress up theme.
