Mrs. Carney’s 7th grade students have been applying their argumentative writing skills by writing a letter to our school SBDM Council arguing whether students should have recess. They have utilized argumentative appeals, claims, and counter-claims, and also practiced their peer revision skills by helping each other improve their writing.

North Washington second graders have been busy studying seed germination and measuring mass with pan balances in Mrs. Cathy Burns’ classes!
Mr. Dugger recently had the privilege of meeting New York Times best-selling author Rita Williams-Garcia, keynote speaker at the 2017 Ohio Kentucky Indiana Children’s Literature Conference. Her novel One Crazy Summer won the 2011 Newbery Honor Award, the Coretta Scott King Award, and the Scott O’Dell Award for Historical Fiction.
North Washington had a packed gym for its Veterans Day program this morning.
