Congressman Guthrie Visits 5th Grade Students from WCES and NWES

Congressman Brett Guthrie, who represents the 2nd District of Kentucky, visited fifth grade students from Washington County Elementary School and North Washington Elementary School in an assembly held at WCES today. He talked to the students about the branches of government, his role as a congressman and answered questions from his audience. Take a look at the photos below!            


WCES and NWES Principals Attend ‘Personalized Learning’ Training in Wisconsin

(Springfield, Ky.) – Washington County Elementary School principal Dr. Jennifer Miller and North Washington Elementary School Principal Amanda M. Mattingly recently attended training though the Kentucky Innovation Lab network at the Institute for Personalized Learning in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Bullying Prevention Workshop to Be Offered for Parents

A bullying prevention workshop entitled, “Stop Bullies” will take place on April 11, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Washington County Elementary School in the gymnasium. The program is open to Washington County Elementary School, Washington County Middle School and Washington County High School parents. North Washington Elementary School is also having this program on April 25, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. also in the gymnasium….

Bands Earn Distinguished Rating in KMEA 4th District Event

The Washington County High School and Middle School bands recently participated in the KMEA 4th District Large Ensemble Assessment event at John Hardin High School! Both bands performed on stage for a panel of three judges where both ensembles were awarded a distinguished rating! Congratulations to these students and to the band director, Mr. Scotty Burns!

35 WCHS Seniors Participate in Annual College Signing Day Event

Congratulations to the 35 WCHS seniors who signed with colleges yesterday during the school’s annual College Signing Day!
