Child Abuse Prevention Month

FRYSC promoted Child Abuse Prevention Month this year by having staff and students show their support. The winning posters are displayed at the Washington County Public Library. Mrs. Burn’s middle school students paired in teams to illustrate the importance of Child Abuse Awareness. The Washington County Homemakers judged the posters and selected winners. The WCES/WCMS teachers are creating the blue ribbon which signifies our support Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky.

Our BETA club competed in the following events yesterday Feb. 1st at the Kentucky Jr. BETA convention: Special talent, Robotics, Songfest, Academics (math, science, social studies, and language arts), wreath, black and white photography, woodwork, fiber arts, recycled art, painting, banner, spotlight your club, T-shirt, and scrapbook. Christmas Band Performance

Middle and Elementary students enjoyed performances by the 6th grade, 7th and 8th grade, and High School band. Each group performed several Christmas numbers. Great job Mr. Burns and all band students. There were two guest musicians who joined the band for the performances. Great job Mr. Asher and Mrs. Burns.
