WCMS 8th grade students, Noah Landram, Brandon Montes, Maliah Churchill, and Molly Shumate presented their poster on Google Forms and Help Forms today at the regional STLP Convention at the Lexington Convention Center.
WCMS enjoyed participating in Halloween at school. There were scary, funny and creative costumes filling the halls!
WCMS experienced Vicky Lawson’s compelling story regarding her brothers battle with substance abuse. Vicky discussed how drug addiction affected her family and the community as a whole. Thank you Vicky for sharing your story and encouraging our youth to lead drug free lives! This presentation was in honor of Red Ribbon Week.
Mr. Mudd and Mrs. Sagrecy’s Character Ed Groups presented Halloween Safety tips to the WCES afternoon Preschool class today. They talked about how to check your candy, the importance of staying with an adult, wearing reflective clothing and carrying a flashlight, not going with a stranger, and to be careful when walking around on Halloween night. In honor of Red Ribbon Week, a guest speaker provided his testimony regarding his battle with addiction to WCMS students. He emphasized the importance of being drug free and making positive choices throughout life. Thanks Jordan for sharing your story and giving our students such a positive message.
WCMS 6th grade student of the month is Brandon Coulter: Brandon is the grandson of Donna Coulter. Brandon’s favorite teacher is Mrs. Blanton. His favorite subject is Algebra 1.
