Senior Spotlight

Our Senior Spotlight recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in academics, athletics, leadership, and engagement within their school communities.

Olivia Bree Cheathem  

Olivia serves as the secretary for Student Council and is a member of Youth for Christ. She enjoys shopping, going to the movies and playing pickleball. She participates in the Co-op Program and is employed at Watch Me Grow Learning Center. She plans to earn Child Development Associate (CDA) certification and become a head start teacher with her current employer.

Taylor Craig Worthington 

Taylor is a member of Beta, participated in WC Teen Leadership and also participated in the Upward Bound Math & Science Program. Some of his top accomplishments include being a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Elizabethtown Community & Technical College and earning national certification in phlebotomy through the Marion County Area Technology Center. Along with his high school diploma, Taylor will earn both an Associate of Arts and Associate of Science from ECTC in May. He plans to attend the University of Kentucky, major in health science and pursue a career in physical therapy.

Cassandra Shaye Mamiit Lyons 

Cassandra serves as the reporter for the Student Council and as the secretary for the National Honor Society. She is also a member of Beta, the National Art Honors Society, the Academic Team, the Commander Track & Field team, the Commander Cross Country team, Gifted & Talented, and serves as a Springfield-Washington County Chamber of Commerce Student Ambassador. Some of her top accomplishments include attending the McConnell Scholars Program Young Leaders Academy, participating in the Kentucky Governor’s Scholars Program, earning second runner-up in WC DYW, earning a Bellarmine University Honors Scholarship, and being named a Transylvania Premier Scholars Finalist. Cassandra plans to attend Bellarmine University and major in Biology on the pre-med track and minor in Spanish, in hopes to become an osteopathic doctor.
